Catholic schools have a long standing tradition of being fully accredited institutions. In Florida, the Florida Conference of Catholic Bishops (FCCB) serves as the liaison to the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of the state government. Accordingly, the FCCB takes responsibility for issuing rigorous standards and conducting regular accreditation review of all Catholic schools in the seven dioceses in the state. Schools are reaccredited every seven years.
