Holy Family Catholic School's Nature Club was created in 2016 in order to foster a love for God and all He created in our world. Members, ranging from 2nd to 5th grade, learn about how to care for God's creation, are introduced to various groups in the Jacksonville area who care for the environment, and participate in a campus-wide clean-up each year.
Guest speakers at our meetings have included the Catty Shack Wildlife Sanctuary, Tree Hill Nature Center, St. John's Riverkeepers, and the local chapter of the Wildlife Coalition Foundation, just to name a few.
Students enjoy participating in gardening activities in Christina's Garden, STEM projects, and building activities provided generously by Lowe's and Home Depot. The Nature Club is excited to share their love for nature and animals with others in our school and Jacksonville community, and looks forward to many new fun activities this school year.
