Administration would like to make parents aware of a new Netflix TV series that has caught the attention of students nation-wide. The show is called
“13 Reasons Why” and is based on a novel by Jay Asher. This disturbing program describes a teenage girl’s reasons why she planned her own suicide. While the show carries an “M” rating for mature audiences over the age of 17, significant numbers of younger-aged children in America are tuning into the show. This program runs counter to Catholic values concerning the sanctity of human life, and so Holy Family is warning parents of this media phenomenon.
